Spokane Creek was established as a campground in the 1960's.  It has grown and changed over the last 50 years to be what it is today - not only beautiful, but one of only a few full service campgrounds in the majestic Black Hills of South Dakota.  In 2010, Spokane Creek Cabins and Campground was purchased by Darrell & Christy Caldwell, long time visitors to the Black Hills.  Darrell fell in love with the area upon his first visit to the Hills during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally twenty years ago.  As such, he has attended the Rally every year since.  Christy, his wife, also fell in love with the Hills on her first visit 5 years ago.  There is just something magical and peaceful about the Black Hills that is found no where else.

One of our goals as a couple was to be able to work together.   We researched several opportunities and were lead to purchase a campground in one of our most favorite places on earth - The Black Hills of South Dakota.  Darrell is a Texas native and corporate dropout who has owned & sold several small businesses including a BBQ restaurant and convenience store.  Christy, who was born in Arkansas - GO HOGS!! - has lived in more states than she can count on one hand and is an Accountant by trade.  We love to travel and have fun!  Both of us are motorcycle riders and have ridden thousands of miles within the Black Hills.  Family is priority, and owning a seasonal campground allows us to spend time with our family in the off-season, as well as entertain them during the operating season - sometimes putting them to work - ha ha.

Our desire is to make each and every guest's visit to Spokane Creek a most enjoyable vacation experience.   We strive to provide clean, comfortable facilities, customer focused service, good food & a fun enjoyable shopping excursion in our store.  Whether you are staying with us as a guest of the campground or just a visitor stopping by for a cold drink, lunch, or a souvenir, we want your visit to be an enjoyable one.  Our friendly staff is here to service you.
